Team Stamford operates under the guidance of Blake Mather. The managers apply the knowledge they learn in the classroom and utilize fundamental analysis and value investing as they manage a $1M portfolio. The team meets weekly for stock pitches and portfolio strategy.

Aruba Tariq
Co-Lead Manager, Spring 2020
Aruba Tariq is a senior Financial Management major at the University of Connecticut. In addition to her leadership role in the Student Management Fund, Aruba is a member of the Financial Management Club and a manager at her family business. Aruba is from North Haven, CT and enjoys reading and spending time with friends and family.
Zoila Chele
Co-Lead Manager, Spring 2020
Zoila is senior at the University of Connecticut majoring in Financial Management. She also holds two Associates Degrees in Financial Services and in Business Administration. She has a strong leadership background supported by her four years of experience as a Manager at Uceda International. In addition to her role as a Co-lead manager in the Stamford Student Managed Fund, Zoila is a member of the Financial Management club, and looks forward to start working at Amazon this coming summer. Zoila was born and raised in Ecuador, and during her free time, she enjoys supporting and promoting women’s empowerment in the workplace
Suifeng Zhou
Portfolio Manager, Spring 2020
Suifeng Zhou is a graduate student at Uconn Stamford majoring in FRM. For Bachelor’s degree, he studied at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia majoring in Accounting. Previously he interned as an audit and client manager for credit lending in Guangzhou, China. Having successfully passed FRM part I & II, he is also a CFA level II candidate and in progress of completing ACCA program. In his free time, Suifeng enjoys doing exercises and watching movies.
Yutong Wu

Yutong Wu is a second- year graduate student majoring the Financial Risk Management in the University of Connecticut. She completed the undergraduate studies in the Missouri State University with a Bachelor of Science in Finance degree. Currently Yutong works as the Graduate Teaching Assistant in the Financial Risk Management program in UCONN, where she leads the review sessions of a risk management course for the first-year graduate students. Yutong is passionate to be a professional in the financial industry. She has successfully passed the CFA Level I Exam and FRM Level I Exam. In her free time, Yutong loves playing the piano and doing exercise.
Suiyi Pei

Suiyi is a graduate student from the University of Connecticut Financial Risk Management program. She is self-motivated, active and detailed-oriented in Investment and Risk analysis with strong communication skills and a sense of teamwork. Now, she is currently a Level 2 CFA candidate and aspires for a career in the banking and analytics field.
Junhong Lu
Manager, Spring 2020
Junhong Lu is a Graduate student in MS in Financial Risk Management with concentration in Quantitative Risk Management. Prior to his graduate study, Junhong Lu participated in a research project concerning exchange rate risk exposure measurement, which included model evaluation and construction. Besides digging deep in theory, he used to be an intern in United Overseas Bank Guangzhou Branch, where he mainly focused on analyzing financial statement, doing corporate cash flow projection and dealing with loan and deposit repayment projection. Junhong Lu is not only interested in theoretical knowledge but also keen on researching and investing.
Rui Guo

Rui (Ray) Guo is a second-year graduate student majoring in Financial Risk Management. For the past summers, Rui has interned in several different securities companies back in China, providing him the experience with equity and fixed income market. Coming from a different market background provides him an insight about the international market, and also what’s the connection between two markets. Apart form his work in the Student Managed Fund, Rui enjoys music and sports, lacrosse and running are his favorites for the weekend.
Yunke Wu

Yunke (Jerry) Wu is a second year UConn graduate student in Financial Risk Management. He started his finance journey from high school reading N. Gregory Mankiw’s Economics books and gained professional training in Dazhou Rural Commercial bank and Bank of China as a credit risk analyst. At UConn Jerry was taught with qualitative method and quantitative tools to measure all kinds of risks(primarily market risk and credit risk) and tried to utilize those skills monitoring SMF portfolio’ s performance. Jerry comes from Southwestern part of China and does Popping dance and table tennis for fun.
