Pornpong Lueang-A-Papong

Concentration: Finance
Pornpong (Omo) is a 2014 MBA candidate at the University of Connecticut concentrating in Finance. He was selected to be the Portfolio Manager for the Student Managed Fund. Pornpong has four years of professional experience in finance and consulting.
Pornpong has a strong commitment is finance. He passed Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) level 2. Currently he is preparing for CFA level 3 and Financial Risk Management part 1. Pornpong was one of eight MBA team leader and represented University of Connecticut at the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) Merger & Acquisition case competition, and won the second place in the intercollegiate case competition.
This past summer he did MBA internship at IBM in finance department. As SMF Portfolio Manager, Pornpong specializes in financial sector.

Jonathan Coombes is a second year MBA student, concentrating in Real Estate and Finance. Prior to UConn, Jon worked in commercial property management in New Haven, CT, where he jointly managed Yale University’s retail and office real estate assets. In the past summer, he interned at UBS in Hartford, CT, for the real estate asset management team.
Jon grew up in the UK, and also lived in Japan for five years before coming to the US. Jon is a Graduate Assistant, and was recently appointed as the sole student representative in a task force created by the school of business to discuss the long-term strategy for the full-time MBA program.

Yan Zhu is the second year MBA student of University of Connecticut concentrating in Operation management and Finance.
Prior to Uconn, Yan worked for one China import and export company for 8 years where she coordinated production processes, managed suppliers’ relationship, negotiated and cooperated with international clients and logistic partners and engaged in marketing strategy. The past years make her have rich experience on project management, supply chain management and international business.
In this past summer, she worked as intern for Henry Schein in Long Island, NY which is the world’s largest provider of health care products and services to office-based dental, medical and animal health practitioners. She validated supply chain improvement project including feasibility, financial benefits and non-financial benefits and created one applicable model to reduce lead time and inventory holding. Her SMF research concentrates on Heath care sector.
